new addition to our family...as well as a new role in our wedding!

so ms. laurie has always wanted a black kitten, shes the cat person I am the dog person...
I have been looking for a sister for Rocket our dog, and then laurie called with news
'my friend from work has a barn, and the cat had kittens,...and they are all black'
so 6 weeks later one is in our home....
Me nervous, her beyond excited....well this little one has grown on me, as you can tell....on our family...
Also shes been given the role as Lauries ringbearer!

So the day before I got Rocket a treat to help her if she became to nervous this is what she got



The only thing was she also got this



Rocket became interested but nervous, it was cute she would get close but anytime the kitten made eye contact it was to much and she'd look away and come and sit in my lap then look back over at the kitten...

Then....
Rocket realized this is no lion, its just Star my baby sister!!!!

So when Star would run and explore



Rocket was not far behind, keeping an eye out....



Now its been hmmm five days and well ms. Star has made her way into our hearts and as a member of the family

centerpieces...

so craigslist gave me a gift....this guy was selling his daugters ikea centerpieces from her summer wedding....and at 140 for 16 i scored big...i checked out ikea just yesterday and i saved well over 50%! hu-ray!

so i have decided that i am going to diy our flower girl tutus this also turns into a gift for them! its actually pretty simple to do and not tooo expensive plus it will keep my hands busy

candy buffet!!!

i am seeing lots of candy buffets and no doubt this sugar addict wants one. but having kids there, and being a klutz...i thought about staying away from the glass and thought about some cute pails with small shovel's or scoops...any other ideas of what to use to hold them??

table runner altern.

so i have some questions... k so here i am thinking lets see how to make table runners....and i came across these pictures... i wanted your advice do you think this could be an altern. for the table runner...nice or tacky??

our color theme is white, pink, black and silver. so with regular white table clothes we could do pink or black ribbon?? i was thinking maybe doing pinstripe designs...or enough to make a square for our centerpiece?
