This is just an update to say hello and give you some wonderful information! We have set the date June 27th 2009! The reception will be held in Andover, at The Andover Town House. The ceremony is still in the works! Lucky for you we already have your dresses decided!

The catch is we will give you some guidelines and you can pick

And best thing you can decide how much money you want to spend.

Attached is the style we want to go for, and hope for you all to achieve
We are going for a pin up, rock and roll, vintage glam, fun look.

I haven't been around in awhile
It has been so hectic with school
Last year, I graduate in May but it can't come soon enough

Its been overwhelming with bills and only Laurie working
I have been seriously thinking about taking up a job
It would have to be evenings or overnights

ok so kids its a topic lets face it....that comes up...

laurie is the middle child in her family and the only one without kids
I am the oldest grandchild and I keep getting asked when...

truth is its costly! hell we might as well see if we can register with a sperm bank...i said i would have the kids but they may hard, ovaries are a bit messed thanks to endometrosis and my past with anorexia...but I want to...

mexican sperm donors are also hard to come by...

it sucks because insurance companies dont really help..you have to have been trying for a year her insurance told me...well how can i try if i have no sperm...you want me to drop a good 30g first...well no ma'm you....and i just hung up...

i know laurie wants kids asap...but money wise we can't...and i would like a house first...

i also want two or three one I would like to adopt...

I have wanted to adopt a child with down syndrome for a long time now, why well its long and complicated but because I know we could provide a home that would allow the child to develop and be the best s/he could be. So i looked at sites, thing is most are international and guess what no lesbian adoptions sorry....

I mean i could adopt separate but i will not risk getting attached and 5 years later having our child taken away...plus I want laurie to be a part of everything...

Grrr...

ok sorry just wanted to rant, time to pick the girl up from work anyways...

Dear my love,

It has been just about eight months since you have asked me to be yours. To embark on a life long journey. Eight wonderful months, and I can not wait to say I do in just about nine months. I just wanted to take a moment as I watch you lay so peacefully and perfect, to say thank you. Thank you for being my sounding board when I need to get out ideas or thoughts, thank you for being the bulldozer that knocked all of my walls down and thank you for standing guard to make sure this heart here doesn’t get hurt. Thank you for telling me you are proud of me, and for supporting me. I want you to know that I could thank you for years to come and I will never run of reasons. I can only hope to show you how grateful and loved I am.

I also want you to know how beautiful you are, physically yes….that goes just by looking at you with those beautiful and intoxicating eyes, those amazing lips so many envy, your soft sweet skin, your forever desirable curves and those oh so perfect curls that leaves in lingo of a sweet innocent angel to a dark sinning exhilarating woman. You are one who can make the saddest person smile, the angriest person laugh it off, I know this because you have with me but so many others also. You have taught me how to breath, how to live, and you help me to take credit and see that I am a worthy person who can go great places. I had my life planned to the second and then with a click there you were, something so very unplanned, so very unexpected but still so thrilling and captivating.

I could sit with you for hours and say nothing and be happy just to be in your presence. I could talk and argue with you for hours because I love to hear your point of view, your stories and your inner most private stories and details, no matter what I would not judge you or think of you any less.

You are my puzzle piece, see life is a big puzzle I feel, you go on and find some pieces and put them together. Well in my plan where I had it down to the second I was always missing a piece. I figured that was my fate, but oh no life had something much more special in store for me, and I don’t even know I deserve it, why I was the lucky one, because like I say so many times that missing piece was you. Then everything not only fit but became more colorful, full of shared dreams and values, a home filled with love and laughter, with smells of baking cupcakes and mexian food that somehow went perfectly together. A home that really only had love, and with love came so much more.

You awaken me and yet still I can only sleep to the sound of your heartbeat.

I can have the worst day, and still seeing your smile and those big ol’ brown eyes, and then just breathing you in makes everything else just melt away.

I guess I am rambling which well hey you should be used to, but I have so many points I want to make and well this time no list. So this can be one letter with some points, I will have the rest of my life to write more letters with more points.

For now just know that I adore you, and that I am so grateful for everything you do for me and our little family. At the end of the day I still just want to turn up the music close the doors, dance ever so slowly with you so that I can breath you in, feel your touch, hear your softest whisper, see into your soul, and taste your ever so sweet taste. Why? Well because to me that smell, that touch, that sound, that sight and that taste is what home is to me…You are home to me my love, and my heart is always open for you.

I love you beautiful girl, and remember this is only one letter to explain a few points, expect many many many more because you are worth it, and I cherish you…always.

so ms. laurie has always wanted a black kitten, shes the cat person I am the dog person...
I have been looking for a sister for Rocket our dog, and then laurie called with news
'my friend from work has a barn, and the cat had kittens,...and they are all black'
so 6 weeks later one is in our home....
Me nervous, her beyond excited....well this little one has grown on me, as you can tell....on our family...
Also shes been given the role as Lauries ringbearer!

So the day before I got Rocket a treat to help her if she became to nervous this is what she got

The only thing was she also got this

Rocket became interested but nervous, it was cute she would get close but anytime the kitten made eye contact it was to much and she'd look away and come and sit in my lap then look back over at the kitten...

Then....
Rocket realized this is no lion, its just Star my baby sister!!!!

So when Star would run and explore

Rocket was not far behind, keeping an eye out....

Now its been hmmm five days and well ms. Star has made her way into our hearts and as a member of the family

so craigslist gave me a gift....this guy was selling his daugters ikea centerpieces from her summer wedding....and at 140 for 16 i scored big...i checked out ikea just yesterday and i saved well over 50%! hu-ray!

our color theme is white, pink, black and silver. so with regular white table clothes we could do pink or black ribbon?? i was thinking maybe doing pinstripe designs...or enough to make a square for our centerpiece?

So i took this blog from Eryn for this one, I wanted to show our new engagement pictures on our blog. We had them taken about 3 weeks ago and the shot went well, it wasnt to hot and the weather was perfect.

We are still awaiting more pictures from our photographers. Engagment Picture Ideas!

So I have been searching for photographers for to take engagement pictures. The catch is we are looking for one who can give us a cd, or prints/cd. That way they get experience, stuff for their portfolio and we get great shots. These will be used during our wedding. And also a great way to capture us, the moment, everything.

So here are some pictures I like, and want to maybe do, if the photographer see fits.

ok so we all know i we are on a tight budget. I mean i will have student loans soon enough to pay back...laurie right now is the only one working and we have credit cards and car loans to pay back. we also have rent and car insurance. as well as our needs...plus like i said having kids and a home eventually will take a chunk out...so i say lets try to stay debt free...so heres the figures i crunches and the work that will be done...so here it is:

Centerpieces: what do you guys think??? I am thinking something fun, different but elegant...maybe some simple flowers with the batt operated candles *lots of places wont let you light candles* or flowers/fruit display...or..a mixture of tall displays and small displays...i also thought of taking some old records and incoperating them into it...maybe painting it..or writing on it...and then placing a glass on it with something in it...help!

cake: will be done by lauries friend for a fraction of what places cost

wedding programs: i made them up print them up use spray adhesive to put to card stock(from my moms work) and attach to painted tongue depressors which my aunt is taking from work! also double as a keepsake and a fan!

bouquets: only the guys will have corsages, the bride will have a bouquet and the flower girl will have fake petals...there will be simple flower stuff at the reception...and i plan to do it all myself or hopefully with the help of lalas mom...if costs are to high we will use silk flowers =)

Photography: i plan on finding someone in photo school, or wants some portifilo work, and we are asking the guests to take pictures with disposable cameras...which we will develop and edit

Guestbook: something simple and fun nothing crazy expensive

invitations (so far): got on sale from Micheal's we will just now type and print it

flowergirls basket: we are making

ring pillow: made by me with inexpensive fabric

favors (so far): cds with story of us insert, along with take home candy and the wedding fans! kids have a kid kit filled with some fun stuff from dollar store * all diy stuff*

Food for reception: made by my family and I *I HOPE* if i can find the right place, otherwise catering *tear*

place cards/Talk Cards: to get people to talk and tell them where they sit...made by me and ink

Table Numbers: Pictures of rocket take by us, frames *dollar store*

Hair: done by aunt kellie and sis-in-law jamie

Nails (toes and fingers): done at local cosmetology technical school for under $20

Music: find a good affordable dj

Aisle Runner: made by me and lala

Toasting Glasses: from dollar store etched with love by the laurie and i

Candy Buffet: buying candy wholesale *when the time comes closer*, got 120 candy boxes for 8 bucks

Theres still a tone more but i will add that later...i am just forgetting it still in shock from seeing my poor sun burned cousin ....ouch...

oh in other news...i saw the Andover town house, it will cost 750 for 8 hrs but....we MUST have a licensed cater =( and nothing can be taped or tacked up...and the chairs they let us use...*yuck* so its still in mind...but not 100%...it is beautiful otherwise

anyone know how i can become a licensed caterer??? lol....but i am being serious =)

i am also still looking for a reception site..preference to letting us do our own catering...with NICE chairs lol...

hello there!!!

well wedding news

we ruled out one wedding place

but first let me tell you we waited an hour in traffic and then got lost

when we got there it seemed pretty cool
then boom the space

SMALL!!!!

the picture looked like it was big but well this proves pictures fail

then we almost ran out of gas on the way home which mind you took forever to find damn you rt 125!!!!!

Rocket was very tired when we got home so we ate and now just hanging out

I also need to get some ink so I can start making our logo for stuff...

hmmm off topic but news in my life:

I gave up on child support with my dad...so hes an idiot who wanted nothing to do with me, let me mom take all responsibility and has not helped out at all...nows hes married has a little one year old a great house and two cars...well i know one person whos not getting an invite Mr. Patick "Asshole" Borden. I must say it bothers me most I dont have a relationship with my siblings. That would be the twins in Somerville out there somewhere, Ryan "Moose" who lives in charlestown or at least around a lot...and I have tried to have some kind of relationship but nothing back. and i have advocated for him lots of times, i was upset when they mentioned me but not him at the service for papa borden...and i let that be known. i do care about him, sometimes i think he might be the only one who gets the dad thing... which has been bugging me because well no father daughter dance, or w/e...shit even if pat offered i think id laugh in his face...

i let my wonderful *sarcasm* uncle/godfather timmy know that it bothered me he did not have a relationship with me...it bothers me that he has one with other people in my family...when they know how i feel about him...because i back my family 110%

ok enough negative stuff already!!!

We leave for texas 2 weeks from tomorrow! i wish my rocket could come, i am feeling some separation anxiety right now but i know she be well cared for. hmmm i cant wait to fly and mmm chachos and i get to see my dinosaur and my sour patch kid buddy =)
we will be there for a whole week and then taking back mr.Andre for some adventures in Boston, I hope he likes it here and has fun =)

Hello there!!!

I thought I would shed some light on the wedding attire of my bridal party

Bridemaids:

So call me crazy I know its June but I want black knee length dressed with accents of hot pink and eaitha ballet flats for shows or some fun pin up style shoes Instead of flowers they will have a small umbrella thingy thats all white with pink sparkles and on the side it will read A Modern Love Story

Grooms-Guys

The guys (I don't know if we have many lol) Will wear all black not tuxes though...black dickies with black t-shirt...pink suspenders and pink tie and converse sneakers

The flower girl(s)

Are wearing BRIGHT pink tutu's with a rhinestone black shirt that reads A Modern Love Story She will have a custom made basket and throw pink and black and white flower petals

The Ring bearers

will wear what the guys are wearing but lets see if we can get him in a mohock

Rocket

will wear what the flower girls are wearing and walk with the ring bears like guards she will have one pink and one black leash both with rhinestones

Laurie

will wear a black ladies suit with thin pink tie and pink converse sneakers

Me-

I have my white Davids bridal dress with some pin up heels...with a neon pink and black skull garter and my nails will be black with pink tips

Hello all!!!!

Today was a tiring day. I did some babysitting, now call me crazy but if your wealthy and you have a damn good babysitter you should pay her accordingly.

Well now that I am done ranting a bit lets get on to some fun wedding stuff

So I am having major trouble because I need to set a location. Problem is everywhere I look its oh you must use this catering service or that one. Don't get me wrong I bet one from the list is great but the service is beyond expensive. Also I browsed most have set wedding menus.

Which are.....BORING!!!!!

My thought why should I have to pay for boring, so-so tasting expensive food???

I know what I want

My thoughts???

Stations.....Bar......Station.....Bar

Drinks

Ok well we have a drink station with special made drinks to offer besides the norm, drinks with names like LesboLove and MyspaceLuck.....drinks with names that are geared to us =)

Also for appetizers we will have everything mini

mini burgers
mini wings
mini pizzas
mini cheese/crackers
mini fruit salads
plus more

For the meals...I don't want it served, let people get what they would like

So we have:
Salad bar
Pasta bar
Sandwich/Cold cut Station
Kabob bar
Veggie/Fruit Station

Then we have a dessert/candy station

I have a major sweet tooth so I want to have the old candy jars with some penny candy and little bags so people can take them home
A place with cookies, cupcakes, ect with little boxes for people to take home

And the wedding cake is the center of it all, something unique but not disgusting odd tasting on the inside with an amazing WOW factor on the outside

First Post!!!! We Set A Date!!

Hi there!

This is my first post.

So let me start by saying I decided to create a wedding blog. I am full of ideas and wanted to get them down. Also maybe get some insight.

Rewind a bit

About me:

Hola I am Eryn, I am a 22 year old college student who loves DIY projects, art, music, writing, reading, planning, being with my wonderful loving finance, baking, taking adventures and of course being with my wonderful pup Rocket!

My finances name is Laurie she is 26 and works full time with wonderful co-workers! Laurie loves video games, sports, traveling, the snow, scratch tickets, rockstar energy drinks, art, music and spending time with her girls....me and Rocket!

We both are very artistic with several tattoos who enjoy our little family

We found one another online and at the time resided on different sides of the country Texas and Boston. On her trip up here to see me for the first time, fate came into play and through lots craziness Laurie decided to stay.

Fast forward a bit

Laurie proposed to me January 1, 2008. It was along the Boston Harbor with the excitement of the expecting fireworks....The countdown 10, 9, 8, 7, 6,......1, Eryn will you marry me!!!

It was simply amazing....

So here we are now, wedding planning!!! And being a DIY person I of course want to do most of my stuff for my wedding, also we are young and well don't have the money to blow....but really I have been thinking its a bit crazy to spend thousands on a wedding. I think. I mean hey we still want kids and well for us its quite expensive lol.....

I also don't feel that we need to spend a ton of money for just one day, yes it is a forever day, a meaningful day...but I don't want that forever day to come with debt but rather a day of fun and love. That is what our wedding will be. A fun wonderful day for us and our family as well as friends to have and to share an expression of our love, our bond. And we know all who come will have the best time.....well....EVER!

Also we are doing this on our own, we love our family but they cant exactly financially help us out, which is ok... =)
BUT, if you want to though feel free =)

So the wedding stuff:

The date is June 27, 2009!

Its a Davids Bridal Galina, which my mommy bought along with my veil!
So I must now say, thanks again mom!

Well its getting a little late and its time for some snuggles with ms. laurie and i guess i shall watch her fighting show, oh what we do for love lol....
